Capture the spirit of Route 66! Celebrate National Travel and Tourism Week by entering our photography contest. Snap a photo of a McLean County Route 66 location, email it to us, and you could win dinner for two. Share your love for the Mother Road by May 31st and see if you are a winner!

Q. Do I need to be a professional photographer?

A. NO!! Everyone is welcome to share their photos.

Q. Who can enter the contest?

A. This contest is open to anyone 18 and older in the U.S.

Q. How do I enter?

A. Simply email your photo of a Route 66 location in McLean County to info@visitbn.org by May 31st, 2025. Please include your name, contact information, and the location where the photo was taken.

Q. What are the judges looking for?

A. A winner will be selected based on creativity and the best overall showcase and presentation of Route 66.

Q. What should I take photos of?

A. Anywhere on Route 66. Must be in McLean County. Some suggestions are Carls Ice Cream, Miller Park, Ryburn Place, murals and monuments in various locations, Funks Grove, Lexington Elephant/Memory Lane, Towanda Dead’s Man Curve, Casey’s Floral Shop. Q. How will I be notified if I win?

A. VisitBN will announce the winner on social media as well as send an email to the winner on June 2nd.

Q. Can I submit more than one photo?

A. Yes! You can enter as many times as you want.

Q. Can I edit my photo?

A. Minor edits like cropping, color correction, or brightness adjustments are allowed. However, heavily manipulated or photoshopped images are not eligible. They should not include watermarks, logos, or offensive content.

Q. What file format and size should I use for my submission?

Photos must be submitted in [JPEG/PNG] format, with a maximum file size of 225 MB.
