TourBus Concert Series: Alabaster
Described as “Snarky Puppy meets Led Zeppelin”, Alabaster is Chicagoland’s hidden gem of bands. Since 2015, Alabaster has been steadily performing at festivals and venues across America, growing and developing a unique sound that attracts music fans from all around. Alabaster takes the principles of jazz improvisation and melts them with grooves from around the world with a rock and roll attitude.The band points a focus on composing interesting, thought-provoking music and danceable grooves, while exploring uncharted territory through improvisation every night, assuring no performance is ever the same. The band knows no boundaries. Alabaster has shared the stage with members of the Grateful Dead, Parliament Funkadelic, Billy Strings and more.
In 2019, the band released the first single on their self-titled debute EP and was featured as an honorable mention in NPR’s Tiny Desk competition. Alabaster released their single “Excellent Idea” in December, 2022. A new series of singles are slated to come out for the rest of 2023. Alabaster is available for performances and would enhance any show in the rock/fusion/jamband/jazz genres.
