Route 66 Grand Marshal Nomination

Get Your Kicks. Celebrate Your Community.

In 2026, Route 66 turns 100 — and VisitBN is throwing a county-wide party to celebrate! On the weekend of June 6, 2026 (6/6), every Route 66 community in McLean County (Bloomington, Normal, Lexington, Towanda, McLean, Funks Grove/Shirley, and Chenoa) will host a celebration with their own local flair. But before the festivities begin, we need you to help us choose who leads the way in our centennial celebrations!

Nominate Your Route 66 Grand Marshal

Each municipality will have a Route 66 Grand Marshal, a local ambassador who embodies the friendly, adventurous, and community-driven spirit of Route 66.
They’ll help host their town’s event, share their Route 66 pride, and represent their hometown during the Centennial Celebration Weekend.

Do you know someone who loves your community, tells the best Route 66 stories, or makes your town shine?

Nominate them today to be your town’s Grand Marshal!

🗓️ Nominations open: November 3 – December 12, 2025
