Oktoberfest Dachsund Races
We are introducing a brand new event for our Annual Oktoberfest Weekend: the Dachshund Races! For the first time, these speedy pups will take center stage in an afternoon filled with parades, costumes, and high-energy racing fun.
Schedule of Events
• 2:40pm: Call to the Stage & Best Dressed Dachshund Contest
• 2:50pm: Dachsund Parade
• 3:00pm: Heat Races Begin
• 5:00pm: Dachshund Race Finals
HANDLERS: Each dog must have someone to release the dog and someone to receive. Volunteers are available to release, if needed. The receivers may use any means to call the dog (holding a toy or treat/ and/or calling the dog). Throwing objects is not allowed. If you are bringing multiple dogs, please bring enough people to care for them while you are involved with the races.
Bring your dachshund to participate, or cheer from the sidelines with a stein in hand as the dogs show off their style and speed. This exciting new tradition is sure to become a highlight of Oktoberfest Weekend.
