Nomad Theatre Presents: Open Mic AI Plays

Like glitter at a craft party, AI is impossible to avoid. Ever wondered what happens when AI tries its hand at playwriting? Join us for a one-of-a-kind night where human creativity collides with artificial intelligence in the most unexpected ways. We’re talking spontaneous AI-generated short scenes, inspired by your suggestions, brought to life by an amazing cast of actors. Some scripts will be created on the spot, others are prepped and ready to blow your mind—all showcasing that technology and theater make a wild (and surprisingly hilarious…and maybe a little weird) duo. Don’t miss this exciting fusion of imagination and innovation! Featuring Emily Barton, Dave Krostal, Devon Lovell, Brooke Moonan, Dave Montague and Joe Penrod.

What to expect of the evening:
Act I – the actors perform some pre-rehearsed scenes created by AI to show you what AI is capable of.
Act II: We take your pre-submitted ideas for scenes and give them to actors to perform on the spot.
Act III: Anything is possible in Act III. We’ll take some on the spot ideas from the audience.

Please note we won’t have a barista on site for drinks. Light concessions like soda, water, and snacks will be available for purchase via cash, Venmo, or Square.
