Drawing From Nature at Miller Park

Join local professional artist and instructor Mandy Roeing at Miller Park for guided sketchbook work from the surrounding landscape! We will discuss various ways to look at the landscape and translate it to paper.

This class will meet at the pavilion that is between the putt-putt area and the splash pad. The Wood Street entrance to Miller Park is the closest to the parking area near this pavilion.

Required materials: Sketchbook (or appropriate drawing surface) and a Pencil.

Optional materials: portable chair or blanket to sit on; kneadable eraser; charcoal, graphite, or other drawing medium; rubber bands or clips to keep pages secure in the wind; viewfinder; water; hat &/or sunscreen; travel size packet of wipes; camera. If you are experienced in pastel painting, you may choose to paint instead.

You must register for this class at least 24 hours in advance, and I will not be able to offer refunds in the event that you miss class. I will contact you if we need to reschedule due to inclement weather. Rain date would be 10/22. If we must reschedule to a different weekend due to continued inclement weather, I can offer a refund if you have a scheduling conflict.
