It’s that time of year again! Lace up your running shoes and grab your friends for the BN Sunrise Rotary Club’s 16th Annual Oktoberfest Run, happening Sunday, October 19th at 2 PM at Union/GE Park in Bloomington.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just in it for the fun, this festive event offers something for everyone — a 5K run and a 1-mile walk, followed by an authentic Oktoberfest celebration featuring live Polka music, brats, and beer!
Proceeds to benefit the Central Catholic Interact Club and the Sunrise Foundation.
Race Highlights:
• 5K Run: Competitive divisions for men and women
• Age groups in 5-year intervals
• Top 3 in each group win the coveted Oktoberfest Run stein!
• 1 Mile Walk: A relaxed, family-friendly option perfect for all ages and fitness levels.
Enjoy the scenic route through Union Park at your own pace — no pressure, just fun!
Walkers also receive full access to the post-race festivities.
Post-Race Festivities:
• Brats dinner and beer included with run/walk registration
• Live Polka band, Solista di Fisharmonica, to keep the party going
• Great music and community vibes
