ORANGE CRUSH with Monster Truck and Last Day of the Fall Season


Orange Crush and Last Day of the Fall Season 

Sunday, Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – THE FARM ACTIVITIES AND ALL FOOD AND RETAIL VENUES WILL CLOSE AT 3 P.M. FOR THE ORANGE CRUSH EVENT AT THE FARM.

Family friendly trick-or-treating will be going on around the farm from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m.  Bring your own bag and come in a family friendly costume.  

Wheels of Freedom Monster Truck will be on-site for our last day of the season. Wheels of Freedom Monster Truck will be available for ride-a-longs for an additional fee payable directly to Wheels of Freedom.  This is one you do not want to miss!

 

Pumpkin Smash

NORMAL — University of Illinois Extension will host a pumpkin smash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Rader Family Farms.

Area residents are asked to bring pumpkins, carved or whole, for environmentally-friendly disposal. The event is in partnership with the Town of Normal and Illinois State University Department of Agriculture.

Organizers expect to gather nearly 1,000 pounds of pumpkins, which will be trucked off for composting at the University Farm. Rader Farms will have concessions and restrooms open for the post-season event.

Pumpkins should be free of candles, stickers, glitter or anything synthetic and non-compostable. Pumpkins covered in water-based paints are suitable for composting.
