Cameron Owens is a multi-talented musician whose journey in music began at the age of 5. Hailing from a musical family, he quickly developed a passion for various instruments including the mandolin, guitar, and upright bass. Known for his high tenor vocals and distinctive songwriting style, Owens has captivated audiences with his soulful performances.
At just 8 years old, Cameron embarked on an extraordinary adventure, traveling the world alongside his family band on a 15-month tour that took them through 27 different countries. This early exposure to diverse musical cultures profoundly influenced his musical identity and creativity.
Driven by his love for bluegrass music, Owens pursued formal education in mandolin at East Tennessee State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Bluegrass Studies. His time at ETSU further honed his musical skills and deepened his understanding of the genre.
Currently based in the vibrant music scene of Austin, Texas, Cameron Owens has joined forces with his older brother Stuart to form “The Owens Brothers.” Together, they are poised to make waves in the music industry with their dynamic performances and heartfelt compositions.
With a rich background in music, a global perspective, and a commitment to artistic excellence, Cameron Owens continues to carve out his place as a respected musician and a rising star in the world of bluegrass.
