Heartland Jazz Orchestra – Live @ Connie Link

A Real Community Jazz Orchestra!

Heartland Jazz Orchestra takes its role as a community organization seriously. HJO, which began its existence in 1999, has been run under three different directors in its history. Under the current leadership of outstanding musician and former trumpet player David Hoffman, the band performs a variety of gigs including, but not limited to, coffeehouses, pubs, restaurants, festivals, private parties, fundraisers, dances, weddings, and special public events. The orchestra also incorporates a jazz educational outreach program, giving free jazz clinics and concerts at Illinois schools. They have performed with several well-known local and national jazz artists; Chip McNeill, Chip Stevens, Orbert Davis, Rob Parton, Kevin Hart, Todd Kelly, Kurt Elling, John Campbell, and Chuchito Valdes to name a few.
