CFA Illini Cat Club Cat Show
Spectators can expect to see the fluffy Persians, massive Maine Coons, sleek Siamese, unusually coated Cornish Rex, the “Werewolf” cat – the Lykoi. Returning this year is Feline Agility where cats compete against the clock in an interactive obstacle course. Pet Me Cat Gabe, a Norwegian Forest Cat will be at the show for Spectators to enjoy.
Pet Central Helps! will be at the show with cats for adoption. In 2025, Pet Central Helps! adopted 13 cats and hopes to grow that number this year. Vendors will have cat-related items for sale, including cat furniture, toys, supplies, and clothing.
On Saturday a human cat costume contest will be held at Noon, featuring Cat Café owner Laurie Meins as the judge. There will be cash prizes for the top three winners in two age categories – ages 0-14 and ages 15 and up. First prize receives $75, second prize is $50 and third prize is $25. No advanced registration is needed.
A popular feature of the show will be the Stuffed Animal contest, where local exhibitors – particularly young people – can have their stuffed buddy evaluated by an official judge for ribbons. Stuffed animals compete on Sunday at noon. No advanced registration is required.
An admission donation of $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and children 5 years old and over. Children under five are free and there is a family four-pack of $25.
