From 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM in Miller Park – Top 3 cars will be awarded trophies.
First 100 entries will receive a commemorative dash plaque. Live music and food!

The City of Bloomington’s Parks and Recreation department is excited to partner with the Midstate Cruisers again with the popular City of Bloomington Miller Park 4th of July Classic Car Cruise Celebration held in Miller Park. This free family friendly all ages Classic Car Cruise Celebration, with 80 plus autos scheduled to appear, happens Tuesday, July 4th from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Miller Park, located at 1020 S. Morris Ave., Bloomington Illinois.

“We are happy to continue this popular 4th of July event,” said Neal McKenry Parks and Recreation Program Manager,
adding “The Midstate Cruiser members have an extensive collection of beautiful classic and antique automobiles that always impress.”

The community is encouraged to visit Miller Park to view some antique, classic, race and new cars, trucks, and motorcycles. The band Jim & Tommy will be playing on the Miller Park Bandstand during the event. Miller Park will be available for picnic’s; BBQ’s and a food vendor will also be on site for food purchases during the Fourth of July holiday. Holiday fireworks are scheduled to begin at dusk.

Due to holiday road closures spectators will enter and exit Miller Park by Wood Street.
Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department will provide extended hours and special events for the 4th of July holiday.

Tuesday, July 4th, 2023

Parks and Recreation main offices will be closed for the holiday.
Holiday Pool will be open from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM with a special Happy Birthday America event from Noon – 4:00 PM that will include games and prizes. (11:00 AM – Noon swim is for pass holders only)
The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course will host the 5th Annual Red, White & Blue Two Person Golf Tournament starting at 8:00 AM (Pre-registration is required)
Miller Park Zoo will be open from 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM with the grounds cleared at 5:00 PM
Miller Park Zoo Concessions will be open until 7:00 PM
Miller Park Miniature Golf will be open from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Miller Park Paddle Boats will be open from 9:00 AM – Noon
Miller Park spray ground will be open from 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM and the playground will be available all day.

Road Closure

Morris Ave. – Between Butchers Lane/Tanner St. & Miller Park Road – The City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation will be closing the road to maintain a safe fireworks perimeter per state law for set-up and firing of the 4th of July Fireworks presentation. The road closure will begin on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at 1:00 PM and will be reopened at approximately 11:00 PM Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Road closed ahead warning signs will also be posted at the corner of Wood St. and Morris Ave. and Six Points Rd. and Morris Ave. The entrance to Park Hill Cemetery on Miller St. will not be blocked. The entrance to Miller Park at Summit St. and W. Miller St. will not be affected.

Miller Park Evening Fireworks
Bring your blanket, radio and family for the annual Sky Concert in Miller Park. Fireworks begin at approximately 9:15 PM and will be set to music on WJBC AM 1230.
