The 100th anniversary of Route 66 will kick off the Lexington History Project. Lexington will become a walking museum with plaques on historic buildings and locations to lead you back through time. Memory Lane’s billboard restoration project will also be complete for you to enjoy. Lexington’s Red Carpet Corridor activities will be located on Main Street in downtown Lexington. Main Street will play host to local car clubs, live music, food trucks and vendors (indoor and outdoor). Main Street will also feature unique activities such as a bourbon walk and cigar lounge Participate in a basketball shootout competition for Special Olympics.Live music this year will feature the Sting Rays (50’s & 60’s music) and Next Thing Smokin’ (country music). Chicago Blues music by the Susan Williams Band will be performing during the evening bourbon walk.
While in Lexington, enjoy the unique restaurant scene and coffee shops, discover the exquisite boutique shopping, taste some of Lexington’s local craft beer, enjoy live music and photo opportunities.
