Cruisin’ Through the Century weekend continues in Towanda with a 1940s-inspired celebration honoring the community’s Route 66 history.

Guests can begin at the Towanda Parkway and Arboretum near the BP flagpoles, where Fred Walk will lead guided walking tours at the top of every hour featuring Towanda’s historic Route 66 sites. Visitors can also explore a 1940s car display and shop Towanda memorabilia throughout the day.

Additional festivities will take place at Duncan Manor, where Union Avenue will perform from 4:30–7:00 p.m. A curated bar and food truck will be available on site, and guests can tour the historic manor from 4:00–6:30 p.m. Tours are $10 per person.

The celebration continues at the American Legion with a 1940s-themed open house featuring small bites and appetizers, fun photo opportunities, and a kid’s area for younger visitors to enjoy. Guests are also invited to take part in a meaningful nod to the era by writing letters to soldiers.
