Steve Vogel, author of “Reasonable Doubt: A Shocking Story of Lust and Murder in the American Heartland,” will offer a free presentation about the book. “Reasonable Doubt,” a New York Times bestseller, chronicles the true story of the murders of Susan Hendricks, 30, and her three young children who were found hacked to death in their beds in Bloomington, IL, in 1983. The family patriarch, David Hendricks, who had been traveling on business when the bodies were found, was convicted of the crime in 1984. That conviction was overturned in a 1991 retrial.

The book is a selection of the library’s True Crime Book Club and the History Reads Book Club, a partnership between the Museum and Bloomington Public Library.
