Sweet Corn Circus
The Sweet Corn Circus. Taking place in Uptown Normal on Saturday, August 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, August 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the community festival will serve as a celebration of Bloomington-Normal’s circus and agricultural roots. Gamma Phi Circus, Illinois State University’s student circus celebrating its 90th anniversary, will offer all-ages entertainment throughout the weekend. A mixture of dedicated performance areas and roving street performers will transform Uptown Normal into an immersive circus experience that’s fun for the whole family. Festivalgoers will still get their chance to enjoy sweet corn and shop among merchant tents. The sweet corn tent and cooker will remain the same with local volunteers helping deliver 50,000 ears of corn over the two-day event.
