The Museum is kicking off a two-day celebration of the opening of our newest permanent exhibit, Challenges, Choices, and Change: Working for a Living during F1rst Fr1day from 5:00-8:00 p.m. To celebrate, we will be hosting ISU’s Fix It Friday for basic clothing mending and repair, hosting live demos of several kinds of “work,” and build your own ice cream sundaes and lemonade.
Live Demonstrations will begin at 5:15 p.m. and feature the following artisans and crafts people:
5:15-6:00 p.m. Wheel-thrown pottery with Cracked Up Pottery
6:00-7:00 p.m. Fiber Artists who will be spinning, weaving, doing Tunisian crochet, and more!
7:00-7:45 p.m. Woodworking by Scrolling Memories by Dave
This event is free and open to the public. All activities will be held on the Museum’s first floor in the rotunda. Free parking is available on the Museum Square and surrounding streets, or at the Lincoln Parking Deck located on Front Street.
