Wine Tasting and Sock Hop Dance

Wine tasting & Sock Hop Dance. Proceeds to benefit the Meadows Community Assistant Living.

Schedule of events.

11am to Noon – Kids Ballroom Lesson – Ages 7 to 18. This lesson we will teach them the basics of Waltz, Swing and Foxtrot.

12:30pm to 1:45pm – West Coast Swing – This lesson we will teach you the style of dance for today’s artist’s like Ed Sheeren, Justin Bieber, and Ne Yo.

2pm to 3:15pm – Ballroom / Latin -This lesson we will go over the basics of Waltz, Foxtrot, Bachata and Salsa.

3:30pm to 4:30pm – Country Line dancing – Learn some of the popular hit country songs. Come and learn some cool moves and hit the floor.

5pm to 7pm – Christo’s Java Cafe in Downtown Lexington will be catering the tasting. Come and experience some of the wines from the area. More details on the brands will be posted later.

7pm to 7:45pm – East Coast Swing lesson – Learn some fun moves from the golden age of the 20’s to the 50″s music.

7:45pm to 10:30pm – Sock Hop Dance – Come out and dust off your lettermen jacket and Poodle Skirt and enjoy the music of the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. We will have some of today swing bands hits to listen to and dance the night away.


Lessons – (11am to 3:30pm ) $5 per person per each lesson taken.
Wine Tasting – (5pm to 7pm ) $20 per person
Sock Hop lesson and/or Dance (7:45pm to 10:30pm)
Couples $10/ Single $7
