Voyage to Mars – Spring Break Classes at Heartland Community College

Class Runs March 21 through March 24

Voyage to Mars
Find out what it takes to launch a NASA mission and set your
sights on the Red Planet. Train like an astronaut, learning
what goes into planning a space crew’s equipment, nutrition,
and other daily needs — even designing an area to hang dirty
clothes in space! Examine spacesuits and other materials
to make sure they’ll help the mission. Then, blast off to
Mars where you’ll test drive a digital rover, and explore the
hypothesis of water’s previous existence on the Red Planet.
Return to Earth understanding why our planetary neighbor is
so beneficial to studying other worlds.
