Village of Downs Annual Freedom 5K Run, 1 Mile Walk and Kid Fun Run


LOCATION, DATE & TIME
•  Start: Tri-Valley Middle School – 505 E. Washington, Downs, IL
•  Saturday, June 27, 2015
•  5K Run/1 Mile Walk: 7:30 a.m.
•  Finish & Kids Run: TVHS trackREGISTRATION
•  Pre-Register: Mail form and $20 donation (check payable to Village of Downs) to the address below. Form & payment must be received on or before noon on 6/26/15.
•  Pre-Register Online: $20 donation (+ $2.09 fee) before noon on 6/26/15. http://downsfreedomrun2015.eventbrite.com
•  Race Day: June 27, 6:30-7:15 a.m. at TVMS. $25 – cash or check accepted.
•  Early Race Packet Pick Up: June 26, 5-7 p.m. at Tri-Valley Middle School.
•  No refunds will be given.

DESCRIPTION
•  The Village of Downs, IL is hosting the 5th annual Freedom Run to raise funds for the 4th of July not for profit celebration.
•  The 5K (3.1) is a flat course run through the Village of Downs. The 5K is timed by the Lake Run Club. The run will start at Tri-Valley Middle School and end on the Tri-Valley High School track. The untimed 1 mile walk will be incorporated into the 5K route. Free Kids Fun Run (10 & under) immediately following 5K on the track.
•  Guaranteed t-shirt to those whose paper registration is postmarked by June 12 or whose online registration is received by June 12.

AWARDS
•  Medals awarded to Overall Male and Female Winner & the Top Age Group Finisher for Men and Women: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. There are no awards for walkers.
•  Ribbons given to all Kids Fun Run participants.
