Unboxing Memories: A Wedding Dress “Unveiling”

When daisies pied and violets blue, and lady-smocks all silver-white … Do paint the meadows with delight.” Or, so said William Shakespeare. In the spirit of spring and wedding season, the Museum invites you to join us for a special vintage wedding-dress “unveiling.” Witness two local girls unveil their great-great-great-grandmother’s 1905 wedding dress and shoes for the first time in the company of their mother, family, and friends. Rarely seen wedding garments from the Museum’s collection will also be on display, and light refreshments will be provided. Spend another Sunday with Mom in May, and make it a month of reminiscence and memory making.
