Rockwell: A Discussion with Janet Connelly
Art historian Janet Connelly will speak about Norman Rockwell’s later work that dealt with the themes of racism and poverty in America addressing an often overlooked political side to Rockwell’s beloved paintings.
Janet has been engaged in the field of Art history for over forty years, having taught at Montana State University, Illinois Wesleyan University, and Illinois State University. She also served as the curator of the Digital Resources Art Collection for the School of Art and Milner Library, retiring in 2014. She continues to stay active in her field by currently teaching Art history courses at Heartland Community College.
