Come and enjoy an afternoon of exciting piano repertoire performed by Illinois State University Senior and local emerging artist Lauren Koszyk!!

Artist Bio
Lauren Koszyk is an active solo and collaborative pianist in the Bloomington-Normal area. An up and coming opera pianist and coach, she is the pianist for Illinois Festival Opera and has been a part of the Midwest Institute of Opera (MIO) since its in-ception in 2011 and is currently on staff. Lauren is also the pianist for the MIO Children’s Chorus. In summer 2014 she made her international debut in Salzburg, Aus-tria as both a solo and collaborative pianist and in 2015 her Chicago debut as part of The Voices of the Midwest Institute of Opera Concert Series. Lauren has performed solo recitals most recently with the Music at the Manor Concert Series and at the University Galleries. An academic, she has presented at the Music Teachers National Association Conference, Illinois State Music Teachers Association Conference, and Illinois State University Research Symposium. Her most recent awards include the Charles Bolen Music Faculty Scholarship and the Mary Jo Brown Memorial Endowed Scholarship.
