Midwest Institute of Opera MIOperatunities Program presents Ravel’s The Bewitched Child
The Midwest Institute of Opera’s (MIO) MIOperatunities Opera Education Program invites you to a special matinee presentation of Ravel’s The Bewitched Child. Come and meet the little boy who is sent to his room for not doing his homework. Once in his room he falls asleep and he is transported to a magical world where the objects in his room can talk, storybook characters from his books come to life and where the plants and animals from his yard have a score to settle with him. The cast of characters includes: Princess Elsa (Frozen), Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), a group of mystical dancing fairies and a headstrong little boy with some lessons to learn. Featuring emerging artists from the Midwest Institute of Opera Ensemble!
This performance will be in English with English supertitles. A signer will be present for our hearing impaired audience. To reserve your tickets today please e-mail: Tracy Koch, program coordinator at mioperatunitites@aol.com If you need an accommodation please contact Prof. John Koch, artistic director of the Midwest Institute of Opera at 438-2472.
