Midwest Institute of Opera (MIO) Summer 2016 season presents Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites
The Dialogues of the Carmelites is a tragic opera about fear, faith, and courage in a Carmelite convent during the French Revolution. Based on a true historical event, the opera follows the story of Blanche de la Force, a timid noblewoman who has sought refuge from her uncontrollable and innate fears in the Carmelite convent at Compiègne. This opera will take you through an emotional journey that will leave you breathless! The opera is in English with English supertitles. Featuring a professional cast of young emerging artists from around the country!
Tickets are $10 adults/$8 senior citizens/children under 10 years of age (cash or check) at the door prior to performances!
