MercyMe Concert at The Corn Crib


The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, are excited to announce our first concert of the 2016 summer series.

MercyMe will be taking the stage at The Corn Crib on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 7:30 pm. Gates open at 6 pm. The American Contemporary Christian rock band last made an appearance in the Bloomington-Normal area in 2011.

Since their debut in 2001, the Grammy-nominated, multiple American Music Award and Dove Award winners have sold more than 8.5 million copies in CDs, DVDs, and have strung together 27 No. 1 multi-format Christian radio singles. MercyMe’s 2014 single “I Can Only Imagine” surpassed 2 million digital downloads, setting records for the first Christian song to go platinum and double-platinum digitally. Their most recent studio album, Welcome To The New, has compiled billboard Music Award nominations in three Christian categories.

MercyMe has appeared throughout North America, selling out venues throughout the US and Canada, including Radio City Music Hall. The rock group has also appeared on The Today Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, CNN, ABC News, and has been highlighted in nationally-known news outlets including: Entertainment Weekly, The New York Times, and USA Today.
