Mardi Gras Celebration

Building on the success of the first annual Front Street Music Festival in 2016, Jazz Upfront is set to bring a traditional New Orleans Mardi Gras celebration to Front Street, Tuesday February 28, ^beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a “second line” parade led by the Dixieland Prairie Band. The celebration will begin at Jazz Upfront and parade to Digger’s for  Mardi Gras cocktails, then parade stops at Rosie’s, and heads back to Jazz Upfront for  New Orleans fare, to include gumbo, shrimp and grits and other fixings, provided by Ft. Jesse Café, Rosie’s, Epiphany Farms, and other vendors.  The Dixieland Prairie Jazz Band will play until 10:00 p.m.

Jazz Upfront’s goal is to continue the effort to highlight the great establishments located on Front Street along Route 66 and to support the local community.

 

Tickets for the event are $35 per person in advance and $40 day of event, and are available for purchase at the following locations:

Ticket includes dinner and dessert at Jazz Upfront, music, masks, beads, and handkerchiefs, and (1) drink per establishment.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Western Avenue Community Center youth programs.
