Lunch, Learn, and Listen
Treat yourself to a mid-day excursion to our Normal Campus from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9 and re-visit yesteryear with these three mini-sessions.
Remember When – Take a look at HCC’s first 25 years with President Rob Widmer. Learn how your community college started and how far we’ve come in our first quarter decade. Plus, you’ll learn a little about where we hope to go in the future.
Timeless Treasures – Are you an Antiques Roadshow fan? You’ll love this session. Learn from Cheryl Bradley how experts determine what heirlooms and antiques are really worth. Maybe you’ll learn that you have some hidden cash in your house!
Heartland Songbirds – Music has the ability to transport us back to our favorite moments in time. Enjoy a trip to the “good ole days” with tunes from doo-wop to the Beatles. Performers in this Community Education ensemble are under the direction of Char Fesler.
This fun afternoon will give you a chance to reminisce and provide some great mid-day entertainment. Cost is only $12 and includes a Panera box lunch. The event takes place in the Community Commons Building on Heartland’s main campus. Parking is free and plentiful and the campus is handicapped accessible. Sign up by calling 309-268-8160 or visiting heartland.edu/CommunityEd.
We hope to see you there!
