LIVE @ Connie Link with Salaryman and New Souls
We are excited for the return of LIVE @ Connie Link (formerly Sounds of the Connie Link Amphitheatre) with Salaryman and New Souls!
A bit about the performers:
Salaryman formed in 1996 when Rick Valentin, Rose Marshack, Jim Valentin and Howie Kantoff of indie rock stalwarts Poster Children traded in their guitars for synthesizers and began crafting a unique blend of instrumental electronic rock that owes as much to Booker T. and the M.G.’s as it does to Kraftwerk. After releasing three albums and touring throughout the United States and Europe at the turn of the new millennium, the band went into extended cryosleep, only recently re-emerging to once again provide a soundtrack for our increasingly digital world.
New Souls came together following Mike Ingram’s Great Cover Up set as Justin Timberlake, when Mike, Brandon T. Washington, and Cii La’cole realized that they wanted to play more songs that they loved, together. Since then, the core trio (along with some of the area’s best instrumentalists, on occasion) have built a following with their silky three-part harmonies over some of the greatest soul, R&B, Motown, funk, 90s hip-hop, and modern songs.
