Hill of a Race Obstacle Run – Sponsored by MetroNet
The City of Bloomington’s Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts department in partnership with Dust2Glory Fitness and Certified Spartan SGX Coach Dustin Webb and sponsored by MetroNet are excited to announce the return of the Hill of a Race Obstacle Run on Saturday, September 18th beginning at 9:00 AM at Ewing Park 2 in Bloomington, Illinois.
This ages 7+ race is the ultimate outdoor fitness challenge with a course set up for recreational enthusiasts as well as competitive racers. The obstacle run will include running, lifting, carrying, climbing, crawling, and tests of agility and balance.
“Hill of a Race has become a signature event for the Bloomington Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department and the community,” said Nicole Kohler Program Manager, adding “We’re excited for the return of this fun family event and to once again partner with the talented Dust2Glory staff.”
Recreational and competitive waves make this a great event for anyone from families and beginners, to the serious obstacle runner. The first wave (competitive) begins at 9:00 AM with waves (recreational) starting every 15 minutes. Kids ages 7 – 13 must participate with a registered adult. Event shirts will be provided to everyone who registers before September.1st, 2021.
Early-bird registration is going on now through July 13 at hillofarace.com. From July 14 through September 15 registration goes up to $35 for the recreational wave. Competitive race participants add $10. Kids ages 7-13 are $10 and must participate with a registered adult. There will be no day of registration for this event.
This event will take proper COVID-19 precautions, and follow current CDC guidelines.
Participants can pick up race packets on Friday, September 17 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Dust2Glory Fitness located at 716 E. Empire St. (Suite G), Bloomington, Illinois. Participants are encouraged to register early to secure the most savings.
