Get Your 6.6 On Route 66

9th Annual Get Your 6.6 on Route 66!
At 8 am on Saturday, August 27, 2022, CORE of McLean, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, is holding our 9th annual 6.6k (4.1-mile) run/walk on Route 66 from Funks Grove to McLean to benefit the community of McLean, IL. This point-to-point 6.6k/4.1-mile run/walk starts in Funks Grove (shuttle service is provided from McLean to Funks Grove), with participants running or walking on the Mother Road herself to our own park under the old water tower in McLean, which was funded by previous proceeds from this event.
This race has become a much-anticipated must-do for many—join us in having a great time raising money for our community! Awards will be given for the best times (male/female) in several age groups, and favorites such as the pre-race shot of pure maple sirup, commemorative shot glasses, awesome t-shirts, and the post-race photo booth are back. We are also excited to bring back our popular post-race drinks tent as well as brunch, both provided by Chubby’s Bar and Grill of Atlanta. As always, there will be music, a classic car show, and Ruby’s Rescue & Retreat with adoptable dogs and puppies, as well as a silent auction to benefit their rescue in McLean. See the race webpage for more details and to register.
