First Friday at Threshold to Hope Studio


The First Friday event for August 5th at Threshold to Hope will be a celebration of an important milestone, our 5th Anniversary of the founding of our program. Join us for an Open House and Anniversary Celebration. All our artists, supporters, friends and the public are welcome to join us for cake, fun activities and of course art for all ages! Mark your calendar for August 5th from 5-8pm and join in the fun, Event admission is free, and free parking is available in the lot behind our building, just east of Locust and Main. before East St.

A bit of our history: Founded 5 years ago by Nora and Dave Zaring, Threshold to Hope has always offered hope and healing through the power of art to adults in the greater Bloomington-Normal area regardless of the ability to pay. Our program is sustained through “pay what you can” for classes, monetary and in-kind donations and grants. We are pleased that this year our art session offerings have expanded from two times a week to three times a week. All adults wanting to learn more about art and discovering their abilities to create in a supportive environment are welcome to attend. No one is ever turned away for lack of funds. All supplies needed to create are provided. Art sessions are currently Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-2pm and Wednesday Evenings from 6-8pm at the Creativity Center in Bloomington.
