First Friday Art & Corn Scavenger Hunt at Eaton Gallery and participating galleries


First Friday Art & Corn Scavenger Hunt at Eaton Gallery: paintings-corn screens-cards-prints-photographs from the Corn Series, Mackinaw River Series, Prairie Pot Luck Series,Cornmaiden Series. Seasonal works of Herb Eaton & Mary Jo Adams. Light refreshments and corn sculpture seek-n-find scavenger search.

October’s First Friday celebration will feature an Art Scavenger Hunt sponsored by Downtown Bloomington artists’ studios and galleries. On October 2nd from 5pm to 7pm school children attending the art walk will be given a scavenger hunt list with answers to be found in participating Downtown galleries and studios. All participants will receive a gift just for participating and a drawing for additional prizes is scheduled for 7:15 pm. Prizes include art kits, sketchbooks, pencil sets, and more. The Scavenger Hunt is appropriate for children 4 years through Junior High and there is no charge to participate. Scavenger Hunt forms picked up at all participating galleries – drop off forms @ Three Square Gallery 104 W. Monroe. ..must be present to win.
Downtown artists hope to nurture a new generation of artists as well as developing an appreciation for art by introducing children to living artists and their work in the environment of a studio or gallery. Downtown Bloomington contains more than a dozen art galleries and open studios representing more than a hundred artists.
There will be treats at each gallery and the ZooCrew with be doing free face painting at Inside Out Accessible Art Gallery located at 318 N. Main
