Childrens’ Musical: The Last Book on Earth

Books to Benefit, a local 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting literacy, is proud to announce Prairie Fire Theatre’s specially donated performance of The Last Book on Earth by Nancy Steele Brokaw at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 21 at 360 Wylie Drive, Suite 700 in Normal (Crossroads Mall, formerly the outlet mall). This free-to-the-public 2017 children’s touring opera is family entertainment at its finest. Though written for children through fifth grade, the 35-minute show is sure to delight children of all ages.

In this performance, the dark force of The Blank threatens to eliminate all the world’s books. Three young friends must jump into the yellowed pages of The Dangerous Book, working together before the sun sets to defeat classic storybook villains to retrieve the three talismans that are hidden in the stories themselves.
