Event
A Practice in Permanence
MCAC will be host to iving artworks by Chris Cohoon, Christopher Hagen, Claudia Husband, Whitney Johnson, Kira Santiago, Melanie Scott-Dockery & Chris Wille Sept. 7 – Oct. 19 with an opening reception Sept. 7th from 5-7pm.
A Practice in Permanence explores the importance of environmental connections in the work of 7 artists using a variety of media. All of the pieces have a life in the gallery allowing viewers to see and explore the growth, decay, or remnants of the ephemeral works. The content toils with the question of how permanent art can be and the metaphor this evolution embodies in relationship to ourselves and our environment.
