A Few Good Men

Inexperienced Navy lawyer, Lt. Daniel Kaffee, is pitted against military authorities as he attempts to defend two Marines on trial for murdering one of their own. A callow young man, more interested in softball games than the case, Lt. Kaffee expects a plea bargain and a cover-up of what really happened. Prodded by a female member of his defense team, the lawyer eventually makes a valiant effort to defend his clients and, in so doing, puts the military mentality and the Marine code of honor on trial by uncovering a high-level conspiracy in the course of their defense.

Aaron Sorkin wrote A Few Good Men at age 26 as a stage production that premiered on Broadway in 1989 at the Music Box Theatre. Three years later he adapted the play as a feature film, starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson and Demi Moore, that went on to receive an Oscar nomination for Best Picture.

The play has adult language, so parental discretion is advised.
