DESTINATION MARKETING ASSOCIATE

REPORTS TO: President/CEO

PROGRAM OF WORK: Primary function is to represent the Bloomington – Normal Area Convention and Visitors Bureau as a facilitator on services with our sports organizers, tour operators and conventions, as an assistant to the staff and special events.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs
  • Manages visitor reception, office operations and procedures
  • Communicates CVB programs with tourism partners
  • Manages weekly sales packets and monthly board reports
  • Works with event organizers for Convention, Tour and Sports group services
  • Assists special event organizers and staff with bureau services
  • Supervises the delivery clerk and their duties
  • Maintains databases for all hotels, attractions, boards
  • Assists CVB Board and Sports Commission meetings
  • Coordinates all reports to hotels for occupancy and room pick-ups
  • Maintains brochures, promotional items and office inventory
  • Maintains sales files, leads and definite reports

EVALUATION:  Attaining goals and objectives as set by the President/CEO and staff

Salary dependent on experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance and retirement.
