Easter events are springing up all around Bloomington-Normal! Discover all of the fun, festive and family-oriented activities that are planned leading up to Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt Scramble

When: March 18 – 29

Where: Normal Parks

This is no ordinary Easter Egg Hunt! You and your family will visit the Town of Normal Parks to find eggs with letters you will unscramble to form words and figure out the hidden Easter phrase. Once you complete the Egg Hunt Scramble answer sheet, you will submit your answers no later than 3/29 to hrazo@normal.org. If you are correct you will be entered in a drawing for an Easter prize basket!

Easter Eggstravaganza

When: March 20

Where: Coffrin ATA Martial Arts

Games, fun, prizes, and a special appearance from the Easter Bunny himself! This is a family-friendly event for ALL AGES (children under 3 should be accompanied by an adult). Bunny’s Birthday at the Zoo

When: March 27

Where: Miller Park Zoo

Bunny is having a birthday party and you’re invited. There will be up close animal encounters with Bunny and other Zoo friends, crafts and birthday treats. Free with Zoo admission.

Doggie Easter Egg Hunt

When: March 27 | 2-4pm

Where: Maxwell Dog Park

The Normal Parks & Recreation Department is partnering with the Bloomington-Normal Jaycees for the annual Doggie Easter Egg Hunt! Your furry friends will get to visit with the Easter Bunny, hunt for treat filled eggs & have a fun-fill day at the park. The event is free, but a $5 donation is recommended & all proceeds will benefit local animal shelters.

Easter In A Box

When: March 28 | 1:30-3:30pm

Where: Miller Park Pavilion

Pre-registration is required for this event. After registration you will be assigned a time to come pick up your activity box. Boxes will include supplies for a craft, activity and snack. When picking up you will have a chance to do a photo with the Easter Bunny. Pick up times will be sent the week prior.

DIY Egg Hunt Kits

When: March 29 – April 2

Where: Your House! 

Want to create a fun and safe Easter Egg Hunt at your house this year? Let Normal Parks and Recreation take care of the supplies! Each Egg Hunt kit will include 10 filled eggs, an at-home scavenger hunt and other fun Easter supplies! Kits will vary by age (5 and under or 6 and up) and can be picked up at the Normal Parks and Rec office during regular business hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.

Easter Bunny Visits

When: April 1, 2, & 3

Where: Your House! 

The Easter Bunny is visiting your home and delivering Easter baskets to your kids! Visit will include a socially distanced photo and one Easter basket. Additional Easter baskets available for purchase. This event is ONLY for Normal residents.

April First Friday

When: April 2 | 5-8pm

Where: Downtown Bloomington

Come down for April First Friday and a downtown-wide in-store Easter egg hunt! Can you find the golden egg hidden inside each participating business? Each egg holds a special coupon or discount for the store it is located in! A list of participating businesses coming soon!
