Tis the Season in Downtown Bloomington & Uptown Normal

With these upcoming Christmas-themed events happening in the Bloomington-Normal area, it’s easy to get into the holiday spirit!  Uptown Normal and Downtown Bloomington are decorated and filled with holiday cheer, fun and festivities. Here are some socially-distanced safe events that will keep you busy all December long!

Season of Small

30 Downtown Bloomington Businesses are making your #ShopSmall dreams come true during the Season of Small with their Passport program! Shop until December 24th at any of the participating businesses and complete your passport for a chance to win a curated gift basket that is valued at more than $800 retail!

Santa on the Square

Make new memories and snap a picture with Santa on the Square. This new tradition is paying homage to the Santas that once stood in Downtown Bloomington at the Livingston department store. Find Santa on Main Street in front of the McLean County Museum of History. Share your festive photo-op on social media using #SantaontheSquare.

 

Uptown Normal

Uptown Holiday Windows

See the stories and history of the holidays in Bloomington-Normal at the Uptown Holiday Windows! A contemporary play on the classic department store windows, 1 Uptown Circle’s windows have become a holiday spectacle. For the month of December, come see the windows filled with images shared by locals and large scale decorative installations.

 

Reindeer Riddles

Solve riddles in Uptown Normal while you holiday shop! The Children’s Discovery Museum is selling riddle cards for $15 each. Participants can find the riddles placed in the windows of Uptown stores. Once completed, return the card to the Museum store for a chance to win a $500 raffle!
