5 Car Shows You Can’t Miss in BN

Start your engines; summer is the season of car shows! Here are 5 you can’t miss this summer:

1) Dooley Park Car Show
May 20 / 11 am- 1 pm
Dooley Park, Downs

Trophies will be given to the top 50 vehicles, while dash plaques will be awarded to the first 100. Awards will include Mayor’s Choice and Best in Show. Food will be provided by Downs Boy Scot Troop 53!

 

2) 27th Annual Champagne British Car Festival
June 3 / 12 pm- 4 pm
David Davis Mansion

More than 100 British cars will be on display on the lawn of the David Davis Mansion!

 

3) Antique Auto Exhibit
August 4 / 9 am- 3pm
David Davis Mansion

Beautiful, historic cars in a beautiful, historic setting – that’s the promise of 22nd Annual Antique Car Exhibition. More than 75 cars from the 1900s through the 1980s will be displayed on the mansion grounds. This year, we will also be featuring the 33rd Regimental Band in a special Civil War era concert on the lawn. There will also be picnic foods and beverages for sale and free, self-guided tours of the mansion will be offered!

 

4) Cruise-In
August 11 / 4 pm- 9 pm
Uptown Normal

A full-scale cruise-in sponsored by the Car Community Automobile Club in conjunction with the Twin City Cruisers and the McLean County Antique Automobile Club. Come enjoy hundreds of classic and contemporary show cars while you stroll the streets of Uptown!

 

5) Cruise-In at the Mansion
September 8 / 10 am- 2 pm
David Davis Mansion

All types of cars will be on display at the David Davis Mansion, including antiques, classics, trucks and motorcycles. Dash plaques will be given to the first 100 vehicles. Attendees can also enjoy tours of the mansion, concessions and music.
