This, This is Christmas

Bloomington’s Sound of Illinois chorus will stage This, This Is Christmas, a free holiday concert, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, in the sanctuary of Second Presbyterian Church in Bloomington.

Joining the 80-man chorus will be Sound Celebration, Sweet Adeline chorus from Springfield. Both groups are led by Terry Ludwig.

The concert will feature several of the songs on SOI’s new CD, This, This Is Christmas, plus songs by the women’s chorus and a carol sing involving the audience.

SOI president Ken Ota said his group wants to continue the gift of music embodied in the Sounds of Christmas program that will no longer be produced in the community.

No tickets and no reserved seats ( first come, first served). CDs will be available for purchase, and a free-will offering will be taken.
