Loteria Museo: Park (ing) Day in Downtown Bloomington

Loteria Museo: Park (ing) Day in Downtown Bloomington
Fri Sep 15 16:00:00 2017
Join the Museum and our fellow Downtown partners for Park (ing) Day, Friday, September 15 from 4:00-8:00. Inspired by the National Park movement, this new Downtown event is brought to you by the DBA, the City of Bloomington, and McLean County Regional Planning Commission. Help us take Downtown from “Square to There” by stopping by the many parking spaces turned impromptu play places.
As September 15 is the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Museum’s park will feature a reinterpretation of the traditional Mexican game, Lotería (Mexican Bingo). Rather than matching letters to numbers (i.e. B1, G3), in Lotería players are given a short phrase as a clue and must match the answer to the clue to the image on the board. Our life-sized version, Lotería Museo, will feature images of objects from the Museum’s collection.
Find us on Jefferson Street on the Museum Square. See you there!
