Heartland Harvest 5K


The 5K course will lead runners through Heartland Community College’s Normal campus to the Corn Crib and back, finishing at the Fitness and Recreation Center where participants will enjoy post-race snacks.

Runners will be timed by the Lake Run Club.

Race Expo

Race participants will enjoy a pre and post-race exhibition featuring promotions and give-a-ways from event sponsors and other community businesses and organizations.

Businesses and organizations interested in having space at the Race Expo should contact Foundation staff at 309-268-8110.

Cost is $25 if received by October 13. A $5 student and alumni discount may apply.

Register by September 22 and get a short sleeve performance shirt. Registrations received after September 22 are not guaranteed a shirt.

On race day

Race day registration is $30.

Packet pick-up and day-of registration begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Fitness and Recreation Center gymnasium.

Race starts at 9:00 a.m.

An awards ceremony takes place after tabulation is complete. Awards are given for the top three runners in each age division (male and female):

18 and under
19-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60+
Overall male and female runners are excluded from age group winners.
