Day of the Dozer 2018
The event will run from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, at the McLean County Fairgrounds in Bloomington.
Since its inception, Day of the Dozer has seen over 10,000 children, parents, and grandparents attend the one-of-a-kind event! For one day, children have the opportunity to operate bulldozers, excavators, and much more heavy machinery with the help of a licensed operator at their side.
Additional farming machinery and emergency vehicles will be on exhibit at the Day of the Dozer event. Plus, the world’s largest sandbox, and many other kid friendly activities throughout the day. Food, refreshments, and souvenirs will be available for purchase. Get your work boots ready for some good dirty fun!
Tickets are available for $5 in advance, or $7 at the event. Admission does include a souvenir hard hat for each child in attendance. Purchase tickets in advance at: Hy-Vee Bloomington, The School Shop, Stark Excavating, or the Great Plains LIFE Foundation. Tickets will become available for purchase on June 1st, 2018. (Tickets not required for any adults.)
Day of the Dozer’s honorary chairmen are David Stark, CEO Stark Excavating, and Jim Finnigan, of McLean County Agriculture and Finnigan Farms.
Proceeds will benefit the “STAY 4 Project”®, a local initiative designed to address the high school drop-out crisis. The project helps low income students who demonstrate the ability to succeed, yet are at risk of dropping out of their education.
