Christian Storytelling Conference
Some of the things we are featuring this year are:
ESL: Every church has an international community already around them. The main thing this community wants is an easy way to learn English. In the past, it has been hard to create an ESL church ministry. Now, BibleTelling has made it easy, using regular church members as one-on-one tutors. They do this while building strong relationships with another culture. There will be a training session at the conference.
Small Group Leaders: Many times, small group leaders are put into that position without training, which often leads to frustration. BibleTelling is offering a small group leadership training that teaches how to get the entire group involved in dialog. This is offered as a part of the conference, but it is also offered as a full day training on Saturday, June 24th.
Youth leadership: This training is designed for youth workers and key young people. It offers a new story-based program that brings new life to a church’s youth program. It also creates youth discipleship. It is key to include youth leaders to help implement the program into the church.
Prison ministry: The BibleTelling prison program has been highly successful in other states. The first Illinois prison is now planning to use BibleTelling in June. This will open doors to state prisons across the state. We are offering the BibleTelling Prison ministry training at this conference.
Pastors: The conference will present ways churches can start using BibleTelling in an ESL ministry, adult curriculum, youth program, prison ministry, and show how pastors can affectively use stories in their sermons. This is also a session that shows how a pastor can put together their own Israel trip for their people.
